On previous portfolio sites I would tell a long-winded story about how I wrote newspaper articles for my elementary school classes. Cute, right? You can read it here. But for now let's cover the bases. I have an aloe plant that I call Lisa Aloeb, I've never lost a game of Chutes and Ladders (or tic-tac-toe), and I have an impulsive urge to make every sentence the best it can be. 

This is my dog, Donut. She tolerates tiny hats for the promise of treats.

I could tell a long-winded story about the time I won an award for something I wrote in third grade, and how that might just be where my love of storytelling began…

But I’ll start with a shorter anecdote:

I've never lost a game of tic-tac-toe, I have an aloe plant named Lisa Aloeb, and I love a well-crafted sentence. 

I also write copy for emails, SEO, website, print, product packaging, social media, radio, video scripts—you name it. I work with creative directors, art directors, UX designers, small business owners, even friends who just want their texts proofread.

And I’d love to work with you too. I’m not just saying that, I really would.
